9/28/2016 2 Comments Saving a File in After EffectsOnce you have a piece of work that you feel is completed, it is likely that you'll want it in a format that can be shared across different platforms. Saving files in After Effects can be much different than in photo editing or illustration software, as it requires videos to be rendered in different formats. Step 1: Compositions and the Render QueueMove your file over the "Create a new Composition" icon. Step 2: Choosing a Format OptionGo to Render Queue > Output Module. Select "Lossless". This will open a window prompting you to select your video output format. Select your format from the drop down menu near the top of the window. We will be using QuickTime, but I also encourage researching other formats based on your preferences. If your file has audio, make sure that the Audio Output is set to 48.000 Kilohertz & 16 bit.
