I'm Sabrina, a senior at New Technology High School in Napa, California. I am a dedicated student who is interested in attending a 4-year school after I graduate. Some of the schools that I am considering are Mills College, Barnard College, New York University, and University of Washington. I am not sure of exactly what I want to study after high school, but I am interested in communications (journalism), law, political science, and international relations.
I am passionate about social issues such as prison reform and labor rights. I also spend a lot of time reading about environmental issues (which scare the $#!@ out of me) and am very interested in the different types of solutions that I have heard proposed. Without going on too much of a tangent, cutting fossil fuel subsidies to pay for clean energy development -as explained by Naomi Klein in her book This Changes Everything- is a particularly compelling concept. For fun, I like to listen to all kinds of music (Joanna Newsom as of late), read books (like this one!), and learn about art. Recently, I have also been getting into film, specifically classic cinema like Sweet Smell of Success (1957) and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (1966). Below, I have some pictures of my friends, myself, and a few places I've been.
